2nd AMMA/ATL Workshop on Model Engineering (AWME2)
Registration
Due to space constraints, no unregistered participants may be accepted. To register see the information below. The hard deadline for registration is April 30th. The requests will be treated in the order of reception, up to the capacity of the room. Please register as soon as possible. There will be no late registration after the deadline. Local Arrangements
The workshop will take place at University of Nantes, Faculté des Sciences et Techniques. Directions to get there can be find here together with information on hotel reservation. Lunches and coffee breaks will be provided on site.
Periodicity
A first workshop was previously organized in 2005, and a similar one is planned in 2007, with more formal submissions.
Wifi
Wifi access will be provided on site.

The context of the workshop
INRIA has been developing an Eclipse-based platform for model engineering named AMMA (ATLAS Model Management Architecture), with the model transformation language ATL as one main component. This work has been partially supported by an IBM Eclipse grant, by a Microsoft grant, by the Modelware European integrated project and many more sources. The total investment on this AMMA platform is now higher than 15 person year, but the result is that we have more than 100 sites using, at least partially, the open source tools that have been produced in this project. The Eclipse GMT project (Generative Modeling Tools) is handling most of the open source contributed in this project. Industrial users include Thales, ILOG, Airbus, CS, TNI, NASA/JPL and many more in Europe and North America. These tools are being used in several other European projects by various external partners. In cooperation with Thales, they will be made more available to other companies (Dassault, IFP, EADS, etc.) in the System@tic Usine Logicielle project and the in the OpenEmbeDD RNTL project. The workshop will be an occasion for some of the users of AMMA/ATL to meet and to exchange ideas. This meeting will also be an opportunity to present some of the planned extensions to these tools. Finally it is an occasion to express suggestions and wishes for future directions of the AMMA Platform.
Accomodation
More information on how to get to the LINA and accomodation can be found here.
